DAVID M. WITMER
Certified Public Accountant
As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), my work focuses on helping individuals, companies, and non-profits with all of their accounting and tax needs. This includes corporate reviews and compilations as well as corporate, individual, and estate/trust tax preparation. I have worked with clients of all sizes, from very simple individual returns to multi-million dollar corporations with various reporting and compliance requirements, including multi-state tax returns.
I have a particular interest in small business accounting as I co-own and operate a small retail business of my own. Fulfilling a lifelong dream to own my own sports card and memorabilia business, I opened a small Internet-based store in 2009 and have since grown it into a self-sustaining business and added a partner in 2013.
I graduated with High Distinction from the Smeal College of Business at the Pennsylvania State University in May 2008, earning a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a minor degree in the Legal Environment of Business. I am a licensed Certified Public Accountant in Pennsylvania and am a member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.
Born and raised in the Ephrata area, I currently reside in Stevens with my wife and two children. My wife and I are both members of and actively involved at Speedwell Heights Brethren in Christ Church where I serve as Visual Coordinator on the Worship Team as well as a member of the Church’s Leadership Team.
Beyond my faith and family, the two most important aspects of my life, I thoroughly enjoy fly fishing, hiking, biking, and a host of other outdoor activities. As a proud alumnus, I am also a Penn State Athletics enthusiast. In the the midst of any activity, I enjoy a wide variety of music and living vicariously through the Calvin and Hobbes comic strip.
